Alec Cazier
Music that brings us home.
Alec Cazier is a Portland-based performer, composer, and audio engineer originally from the Midwest, with over a decade of musical experience. A multi-instrumentalist seeking not only to refine his craft but to connect with a broader creative community and create lifelong connections. His work centers on collaboration, using music as a medium for collective experience and mutual growth. Through each project, Cazier aims to build bridges between genres and people—fostering community through sound and collective expression.
Cazier’s journey began in a musical household and evolved through performing in jazz, concert, and local bands in Minnesota, including the progressive metal group Paelta. After the band’s split post-2020, he launched two solo projects—black metal act Ruhastah and an ambient electronic project under his own name. In 2021, Cazier relocated to Portland to study Sonic Arts and Music Production at Portland State University. Since moving to Portland, he has launched and contributed to several projects, including Tietan and the emerging band Ivy's Greed.
